It’s the most bizarre place on the internet. It feels like it’s populated by non-voting youths age 14-17 who like making insulting memes and trump is a vessel for their hate.

Also it seems like there are some 45+ aged people. Some of their memes and talking points feel so dated.

And it’s all glued together with racism and falsehoods. What a weird weird place.

It wasn't really one specific event, although there were several changes when I left Christianity when I was about 30. Before that I was opposed to the death penalty, abortion, war. Now I see reasons for all three under certain limited circumstances.

I didn't support the arson either, but I didn't blame all of liberalism. Some of the arsonists were white supremacists (the ones who burned down black churches during the riots), but any BLM or Antifa arsonists should definitely be in jail too.
