When the final accounting is done, years from now, I believe those suffering from what you point out will at least equal those who died from covid, if not surpass it. The lesson learned will be that we should have isolated those most at risk, and then done nothing more than wear the damn masks, social distance, and wash out hands frequently. The economy need not have been ruined. Lives need not have been ruined. Peoples' livelihoods need not have been taken away by power hungry politicians.
Plus, we have school children all across the country suffering from not only the lack of a proper education, but they will also have an incredibly difficult time catching up from the lockdown, both academically and socially.
It's a huge shit sandwich, and we've all been *forced* to take a bite.
