she should not get a penny for her stupidity but the company should put a warning label on the product about gluing your hair so they can avoid any law suits in the future

I often fear some warnings we regularly see appear after the fact of someone's stupid misuse of the respective product. Like plastic bags: no reasonable, thinking person would use one to wrap a baby in, but every package of them you see has a warning about not placing a child in them. So I figure that somewhere along the way some moron actually placed their child in a plastic bag and it suffocated. If so, a very sad testament to the intelligence of our species.

Yes. Warnings are really a list of past moronic behavior. Do the new morons read the warnings and avoid similar conduct?

You're assuming they can read.

Warnings are for matters that go beyond common sense

It very often seems that way. I have seen some warnings that really make you wonder about the intelligence of some consumers.

That’s like someone playing Russian rulet on their feet and then suing the gun manufacturer.

No, there is a specific use the manufacturer intends the product to be used for. It's not the companies fault if someone uses it for the wrong intent.

They also legally have to put warnings there anyways. So it should be very avoidable

But isn't that putting an excessive burden on manufacturers? If they have to take every possible scenario of product misuse -no matter how bizarre, ridiculous or beyond the scope of rational thought- where does it end?

I agree with you on that because most people are rational enough to not put glue in their hair but what I meant was that there are already basic warnings on stuff like this and people should at least acknowledge them.

Of course not. She won't receive a dime. What a dunce! She even looks like an idiot.

Maybe in some cases, but generally no. Definitely not in her case.

Yes you can, you can remove warnings and let nature take care of it.

That's not really fixing it though, it's more like terminating it.

It's my assumption that people will only do something that's deadly stupid once. Those who learn by the example of others prove their value to the gene pool.
1 up, 3y
That's been going on for forever though.

You are not justified for making a law suit, in fact it's just straight up stupid and would be a waste of your money. It's also an amazing opportunity for M E M E S!

I think we should take warnings off of products. If you're too stupid to not kill yourself, then you should do the rest of us a favor and remove yourself from the gene pool.

Right. And that one they put on children's water wings to tell you they aren't a life-saving flotation device.
2 ups, 3y
The problem is, most people have no common sense. Products that are in no way food must be labeled "DO NOT EAT". They put warnings on plastic bags to not give them to children to play with, and buckets have "child drowning risk" warnings.

We're messing with natural selection. Idiocracy is turning out to be a documentary.
