Then Californians have the priviledge paying the same rate as most stupid European countries! Why did many people in the USA leave Europe? They are stupid!! Electric cars will store surplus cheap solar and feed it back to the grid and earn money for EV owners without stressing their batteries because the user sets how much they want deposited and withdrawn. (V2G = vehicle to grid) They can also feed back to houses as backup (V2H = vehicle to home)

California blackouts were from out of state fossil & nuclear carrying lines over remote mountains carrying power during the afternoon "ramp" (red line, demand page) they got hot and sagged and touched off wild fires. Rooftop solar has nowhere to travel, the end user is right underneath or down the street, it doesn't travel far over poorly maintained FEDERAL land and doesn't touch off wild fires.

Air can not provide 24/7 power or peak power so it it can not be stored it is just a burden on the grid and duplication. it only supplies 3 percent. Also where we store all the blades that wear out? LOL! Dang have 0 concept on a power grid and they allow you to vote? SAD!!!

Good argument, but nuclear plants can operate around the clock, seven days a week, for 18 months or more at a time without stopping to refuel.

I have hope for you!! There are new generation nuclear power plants that are a 1/10th the size and 1/3 the power! Inherently safe by design and size. They generate power 24/7 for 10 years. They are designed to generate power for 10 years without being refueled. Waste? Put in a desert mountain in a remote place, Yucca Mountain already designed. However the people who make money off gas, solar, wind will demonize this!

As someone who lives in California. Yes it is. Rolling blackouts all summer and price increases to go with it. You probably don’t pay any electricity Bill so you wouldn’t know.

There has been only 1 BLACKOUT in my area throughout the whole of 2020, and none of 2021. The blackouts were for safety, to prevent the hellish california fires from spreading even more. California is a great place.

You must live in a elitist rural county. Here in the city several blackouts not due to fire. California is a great place despite the destruction caused by leftist programs that have increased poverty and homelessness.
