Call your Representative and tell them you'd be happy to pay for a 4.0 in Engineering and you never know, they might try to get that ammendment in.

There are scholarships that cover that? This is buying votes with taxpayer money. We pay for tax cuts for the wealthy, and socialist BS like this for the "needy". Both the Left and the Right are screwing us.

I'm a dick to anyone who wants a free ride. I sent myself through college, and I didn't borrow any money to do it. I worked hard. It was not easy.

Personally, I think your college should have been free and so should everyone else's.

I think trade schools should be affordable. We need more plumbers, welders, and electricians. I would not mind my tax dollar going to that. I don't think "all" colleges should be free. We already have enough people with useless degrees, like phycology, fine art, and women's studies.

Free. Make it all free. Plumber or sanitation engineer, welder or materials scientist, electrician or electrical engineer - pick what you want to do and it shouldn't be any harder than can you get the grades for it.

And I KNOW it's not about what you consider useless because you're obviously as resentful of engineers as you are of artists. You've made it clear that it's not about the field, so why do you keep mentioning the field? ??

To be fair the entire student loan system is a racket. Personally I'd just move all money that goes to colleges to pay for existing student loans.

The government sends colleges and universities tons of money for various programs like studying turtle crossings and shrimps on a treadmill. That money could easily be redirected out of those colleges to pay for student loans.
