People shouldn't murder innocent people either, but there are times when the police should not only kill others, but then send the bill for the ammo to the dead persons' family.

Everything you said completely goes against the Sixth Ammendment of the Constitution.

The idea is if you are in fear of imminent death you can defend yourself to the point of killing the other person. This is because they are depriving you "of life, liberty, or property without due process of law"
