I'm not a believer or religious, but I can't see why others who also aren't are in this grand challenge to outdo what they complain about in the useless hindrance dept.
But then again, it reminds me of what I used to say about them back when I was a religious, and that is that no one believes in God like an atheist because with them it's personal.
Obsession is obsession, you don't see them hollering at kids for believing in the Tooth Fairy or UFO enthusiasts or to people of other religions because that would be so, like, culturally insensitive and bigoted. Just the one religion they are so busy trying so very hard to prove to themselves they have no need for as the search for mentions of it so they can stomp their feet and show their amazing ire.
Regardless, no matter what they say, no matter what they do, the God they wish to dismiss stares at them from a gaping wound, a wound they will never heal, only cut into deeper and deeper with the blade they forged of their own anger.
And they wouldn't have it any other way.
