Nah, the leftists stole the word liberal. There are still liberals out there, they used to be dems, but most of them have left the party. Whenever someone smears liberals, just explain that real liberals don't believe in leftist values like abortion, welfare for all, no borders, totalitarianism (i.e. socialism, communism, fascism) and take the word liberal back!

Liberal, still does. Leftists are not liberals.

The Progressive Parte at thr turn of the Twentieth century was the Communist Party in the United States. When there was too much opposition to the name they went undercover in the Democrat party and called themselves liberal.

Progressives have never been for individual freedom.

This country was founded by Liberals. They outlined a form of government founded on individual freedom.

That is what Conservatives are trying to conserve.
