There are times where the Capitol is open. This was not one of those times. The fact remains that they weren't "Let in." They pushed their way past police, overrunning them chanting "Hang Mike Pence!" where they had built gallows for him.

No police should have been there, they should have been defunded last year and a line of social workers used to keep the crowds calm and under control. The cop that murdered the unarmed woman should be arrested for the murder and his leadership charged for allowing the murder.

So it was a mostly peaceful protest and I was right, the woman was murdered.

As I said last summer, the moment any protest descends into violence, it's no longer a protest. It is a riot. Given that distinction 92% of the BLM protests were peaceful where no violence occurred. Also to consider out of 25 million protesters in June, only 14,000 were arrested. That's .00056% of protesters.

This is one "protest" protesting the electoral college and Mike Pence's lack of desired action. Of those riots, for which there are so far only one, it has been 100% violent. Arrests are still being made. Initial counts suggest there were a couple thousand present at this event.

Nice distraction but the murdered woman should get justice and all those arrested released without charges, just like in leftist cities like Portland.

Those people were not trying to break into a building which contained the Secret Service where VP Pence was located and where VP Elect Harris was kept. Secret Service have license to kill with extreme prejudice.
To coin the verbiage of anti-BLM sentiments
"If African Americans don't want to get shot, they shouldn't be breaking the law."

If she didn't want to get shot, she should not have been standing shoulder to shoulder with people trying to break down a barricade that lead to the Senate and the House Floor.

I see, so to follow your logic, don't go out in public if you are female and do not want to be raped, do not buy expensive things if you do not want to be robbed, do not leave your home if you do not want to be a victim of a crime. The hard truth is no amount of spin explains the murder, she was not a threat and neither was anyone else, if they were why only a single shot? Stop justifying a murder.

I'm not sure whether to call that a slippery slope or a strawman argument.
She broke through police lines, and was standing shoulder to shoulder with people trying to break down a barricade. She had 16 seconds to run after the first shout of "He's got a gun!" (Pulled by Secret Service) was called. If you have a gun being pointed at you by Secret Service, Hell, if you see anyone with a gun pointing in your direction. Don't just stand there. Run.

If Secret Service is pointing a gun at your direction, you might be doing something very wrong.

But if this was a black guy being shot by secret service, this would be murder, is that right? If this was BLM it would be murder too, right?

Funny that you should excuse Kyle Rittenhouse and not an officer of the law.
1 up, 3y
Kyle was punched and hit with a skateboard his mistake was not firing again. Any unarmed person murdered by a cop even the secret service should be investigated and unless a life was threatened charges filed. And again, one officer fired, just one, that is proof enough there was no threat seen by the others and an investigation should be started.

A life was threatened. The crowd was chanting "Hang Mike Pence!" After they built gallows and they were trying to get where he was. They were visibly acting on that threat. When it comes to threats you take them seriously. You don't wait for the chance to get to him and not hang him.

Instead of glossing Murderers, your President was passing out pardons like candy to the Blackwater Murderers, people found guilty of corruption, border patrol agents who attempted to cover-up murder (so you have corruption AND Murder in one package). BLM/ANTIFA -never- attacked the capitol, because at the end of the day? We love our country. It's too bad that those who attacked the capitol and those who endorse them cannot say the same.
attacks on entire cities and our nations history didn't raise an eyelash.
>> Because you fed into news sensationalism. The biggest hotspot for the riots was Portland. I live in a Portland Suburb. I have family who live in Beaverton, another suburb. I have to travel around it a lot. The violence was contained to only a few blocks and a couple of times the protests (peaceful) reached the burnside bridge, blocks away. This "ENTIRE CITIES WERE ATTACKED" is a completely misleading claim.

Get your facts straight:
"In a fourth video, someone says, “Get him! Get that dude!” prosecutors said. Afterward, a man in a light-colored top runs toward Rittenhouse and appears to swing at him – knocking his hat off, prosecutors said.

Afterward, someone says, “What’d he do?” and someone else answers, “Just shot someone.” Then, a man is heard yelling, “Get his ass!” prosecutors said.

At that point, Rittenhouse trips and falls to the ground. Another man in a dark-colored top and light-colored pants jumps over at Rittenhouse, and based on the positioning of Rittenhouse’s gun, it appears he fires to shots in quick succession at that person, but does not hit him, prosecutors said.

Just after that, another man, Anthony Huber, 26, of Silver Lake, approaches Rittenhouse, who at this point is still on the ground on his back, prosecutors said. Huber has a skateboard in his right hand and appears to be reaching for Rittenhouse’s gun with his left as the skateboard makes contact with Rittenhouse’s left shoulder, prosecutors said."

They were unarmed and trying to disarm him as he had already shot someone before the skateboard ever came into play, per the video.

Not sure where you got any of that but it changes nothing, an idiot that charges a man that has already shot someone should expect to meet the same fate. I am still going with self defense especially now that we live in the no amount of evidence is ever enough world the left created. The next jury I sit on, the person is not guilty, we no longer have a justice system.

(cont. from last post) "Huber looks to be trying to pull the gun away from Rittenhouse, and Rittenhouse rolls to his left side, prosecutors said. The gun is then pointed at Huber’s body as Rittenhouse fires one round, prosecutors said.

Huber staggers away, takes several steps, and collapses, prosecutors said. He went on to die of the gunshot wound.

Dr. Kelley at the Milwaukee Medical Examiner’s office also conducted an autopsy on Huber, finding he had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest that had perforated his heart, aorta, pulmonary artery, and right lung."

"Do not be shocked that others can also decide to take the low road when that is all they have left.
The difference, again is that yours was a cause for the loss of political power and influence after only four years; only having just gone through eight and it is likely you might have another eight. The violence from the BLM/ANTIFA movements which had republicans and democrats in it? Was the cause for social injustice for unlawful and unethical conduct with minorities in police custody.
Human Life vs Political Influence?

Man. So much for the Pro Life party. Some really shallow values there.

I didn't read of word of that and will not. “Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.” — Harry S. Truman

Actually the Constitution clearly states that no person can be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. In the case of 'life' that means standing before a judge and being convicted by all 12 jury members. I didn't see a judge or jury.

So, we agree, that all these African Americans who had no weapons trained on any officer, or were running away, should not have been shot? Even the officers who were being charged at in spite of the lack of a weapon?

"What part of unarmed and unmoving do you not understand?"
>> What parts of
A) At the front of an angry mob chanting "Hang Mike Pence"
B) Secret Service is sworn to protect VP/President/Elects aiming guns at your direction
C) Trying to break down a barricade
D) Probable Cause
E) Had plenty of time from when they were outside the building, overruning the guards, started chanting "Hang Mike Pence!" all the way to this barricade that they were trying to break down, to do something else.
F) Had plenty of time to flee or take cover between the first second that the gun appeared following the time that it didn't fire until sixteen seconds later?
G) Common f**king sense that any two of these *should* instill some sense of self-preservation, cause to reconsider your actions, and/or retreat.

No common sense was involved in this woman's decisions. I am deeply saddened that she had to die. I do not however, feel sorry for her.
