True colors.

Nothing wrong with those colors until about 6 months ago. Of course the people that have a problem with that also hate George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln among others. So their opinion doesn’t mean much.

I don’t fly them but I support free speech. That’s an American thing so you probably don’t understand it.

I'm using free speech to say that the Confederate-battle-flag people are assholes, I don't want the flag to be illegal. It's a symbol of traitors leaving America because they wanted states' rights to own people.

So black business owners should get more relief funds because they have higher rates of diabetes? C’mon man. Weak argument and still illegal discrimination.

I was thinking of vaccines. I didn't know about the relief fund that Oregon doled out; I would have to look into that more but yes, it could be unconstitutional.

In California Covid is widely spread in the latino community, the next highest is the whites, then the Asians, then the blacks. So I don’t see how prioritizing it by race in the manner you describe is equitable. Simply based on skin color is illegal and racist. If you said it was by regions with higher death or positivity rates and all those in that region are eligible, that might be reasonable but you didn’t. You want to prioritize one race over another and that is very simply racism.
1 up, 3y,

Excluding financial relief and strictly medically speaking, the color of their skin seems to matter. Science will look more into the effects of Covid-19 on different races in the future also. There are differences in races, medically.
0 ups, 3y,
1 reply
There are differences in races? Are there differences in gender too? Covid kills and effects lives equally. Where I live Covid is much wider spread and deaths higher in the Latino community and the. The white and then the Asian and then the black community, as I said so why do blacks get preference? Because you have a deep white guile or white savoir complex? It is racism plain and simple when you make decisions based on skin color. That’s not equality.
1 up, 3y
I would agree with your argument for equal financial relief. Doctors and scientists DO make decisions based on what race you are. e.g., sickle cell anemia being much more common with black people.

COVID among African descent is being found to be deadlier more often, percentage-wise.

https://www.kff.org/other/state-indicator/covid-19-deaths-by-race-ethnicity/?

The Kaiser study shows that by percentage of deaths compared to percentage of population it is very variable depending on state. In some states your statement is correct but in others no. So regional factors come into place not just skin color. Sickle cell is not a racial disease, even if more prevalent in one. All babies are tested for sickle cell in the US. Not just black babies.
0 ups, 3y
Interesting, I didn't know black Californians make up only 5% of the population. You're right that it's hitting hispanics hard in that state. There are regional factors and also, access to healthcare is a factor. I'm sure it will be studied more as far as the possible medical factor of race.
0 ups, 3y
In my former crowd — Army medics/paramedics, it's common knowledge that sickle cell IS a racial disease. We wouldn't suspect that form of anemia in someone who isn't of Sub-Saharan descent (maybe 95%).

Not in California. Where are they finding that? Please link.

Remember, I'm talking about the chance of dying of it; BOTH brown and black people compared to white seem to have a 2X - 3X higher chance:

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/covid-data/investigations-discovery/hospitalization-death-by-race-ethnicity.html

Here is an article from the politically-center rated usatoday.com (you could try fact-checking THEM too) - they mention the old 13% thing: black Americans who 'represent only about 13% of the population, but about 22% of COVID-19 deaths':

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2020/09/09/covid-19-disproportionate-effect-african-americans-and-how-control-column/5679676002/

Also, last spring in the U.K., they found it deadlier among the black population as well:

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-52894225

they reference this:

When I was a kid I asked my grandfather why Nazis were allowed to March in the United States if we fought them in the war. He said because in this country we have free speech. We fought them for the right to have it. They are allowed to March because we don’t fear their ideas as they are bad ideas. If you take away their rights then yours might be next. You can speak against it, disagree with it, whatever that’s your right. It’s a history thing and if you don’t appreciate it that’s fine. To many it simply represents the south and southerners. Not everyone is woke or wants to be.

We may disagree on a lot of things but this is our common ground. However the point is waving this flag after breaking into the Capitol building. Also it's fair to call out anybody waving that flag for any reason. That's also free speech.
0 ups, 3y
Criticizing or forcefully denouncing are acceptable. I would do the same when the Chinese hammer and sickle flag is marched through. Prohibiting is censorship and violates free speech.
1 up, 3y,

I DO fear their bad ideas; but, I don't want it to be illegal to be a Nazi in the U.S. Some on this stream want that, but I wouldn't want the government thinking that I'm a Communist or something, then arresting me. I'll continue to attack fascism and the like.
0 ups, 3y
Have at it. I fear the bad ideas of the left more than the Nazis in America. The Nazis have been here since before WW2 and haven’t taken hold.

Well, some 90 years ago a certain someone used the "free speech" granted to gain power. The pic you had posted was one of the outcomes of "free speech".

Because "free speech" is most vulnerable to misuse like folks of the Bluessol-kind are demonstrating. People like him are using "free speech" to disseminate the exact opposite of it once they would gain enough power to suppress it. Like a certain someone did in 1933.

There is nothing wrong in limiting "free speech", setting sharp redlines and severe fines if these limits were deliberately crossed. History had showed again and again that only the enemies of democracy and freedom were vehemently defending unrestricted "free speech" as a vehicle to promote fascism and communism.
0 ups, 3y
That certain someone was a leftist of the National Socialist Party. Your whole statement flies in the face of everything this country was founded on. Freedom of speech is a founding principle. Without our constitution we are not America. You want to tear it up, I call

They say they do, they say they are all racists and don’t deserve statues or monuments. America was founded in evil and racism and they propagated it. Those people and those that support those people are scum and traitors. America is a great country and it is unique in the world. It is the least racist of any country. The highest standard of living in the world for black people is the USA. The highest standard of living for immigrants is the USA. God bless it and keep her from all enemies foreign and domestic. Those few misguided who stormed the capitol are not her enemy. Those that are calling for censorship and silencing of opposition are.

We're too smart to believe in bullshit (the steal) when there's no evidence of it. Where's the evidence to compel the courts and the Senate to review it? Fools are believing make-believe crap and have deluded themselves into thinking they have a majority. Look at the popular vote. If any tampering happened it's not far off. Biden was millions ahead and he 'aint even that great. Republicans are done if they can't gerrymander an alarming amount. Sure the Trumpists may want to blow off steam and I would welcome them to the table if they relieve themselves of the reality-distortion field. Can't work with idiots who cannot identify a fact yet fall for every lie their super-edgy "alternative" sources throw them. The best they can muster is projecting their worst aspects on the liberals and try to "pwn" them. Pwning the opposition isn't a party, it's a pastime. Republicans reinvent or wither away. House, Senate, Presidency all out of reach for now. Come down to Earth and we can engage in working together.

The trap You fall into is accepting that systemic racism is the reason for all the ills of minority communities. That is inherently not true and if you don’t address the real Problems within the community you will never achieve success.I notice you never include the Asians, Persians, Armenians, in your afflicted minority? Why not? All of these have entered the country in Fairly recent times and seem to have excelled here. Why is that? Does this mean “Asians do not suffer from the same systemic racism you claim?”

Low income neighborhoods have higher crime = higher crime areas get more police patrolling = more police patrolling equals more police interaction with bad outcomes and arrests.

Equal opportunity has been in place in Democratic run metropolis for years, even decades. They have failed miserably. So we are supposed to believe if we give you more money your failed policies will work? You draw the wrong conclusions from the available data. There is no systemic racism other than the current illegal effort to target covid relief based on skin color.
0 ups, 3y
Highlighting your final sentence: because I have experience in that field - the targeting you're referring to MAY be because of the higher death rates of people of African descent. I know they tend to have more hypertension and diabetes, and, I suspect a link between worse Covid-19 outcomes and the typically lower Vitamin D levels among that specific race, when they're in northern latitudes. In this case, skin color DOES matter.

Why would I admit something that’s not true. I was born in Compton, Ca and I walked the streets like a man, not some sniveling punk begging to apologize. I owned no slaves so I don’t owe anyone shit. Some black people are worthy of respect and some aren’t. Same as white or latino or Asian people. We all bleed red blood too. I don’t have to lessen myself to raise the black man up. You think you are superior and need to lift him up because he is unable. Your the racist not me.

Free speech is free speech and it’s A Foundational American principle. Without free speech you don’t have a free society. I like freedom and I will fight you and every other lefty traitor who wants some.

Well that’s your perception you keep it. I’d say thats your racism and bias showing. You hate or have a bias against white men from the south. Sounds racist to me. Supporting free speech may not be popular but it’s the foundation of America. Be a man or be a conformist. Speak your mind and stand behind your convictions until you no longer have them.
2 ups, 3y,

I'm a white man and I stand behind my convictions that, I'm unhappy with the continued history of treatment of black Americans. I've served in the military with good white men from the south; but there are many down there who are pieces of shit though, who's fathers and grandfathers were pieces of shit also. I know there are plenty of racists in the north too, but I attack southern flag wavers.

So we disagree, and that’s fine. I don’t deny any historical inequities, I don’t live in 1860 or 1960. I don’t see what you see. Systemic racism is a lie and as I said I don’t owe anyone shit. I never owned a slave. I don’t owe someone reverential respect for the color of their skin. I don’t posess the level of white guilt you do. Demanding that I do is where the problem is.
1 up, 3y,

Yeah, and no matter what Ben Shapiro and the like say, I disagree that systemic racism is a lie; I would suggest you do more deep research on your own about that, like looking into .edu and .org kind of sources (trying to stay near politically neutral). I don't owe black Americans either and I've had no slave owners or southerners in my family history.

You mentioned 1960; that's why I mentioned grandfathers. Many great-grandsons and great-granddaughters have had ideologies and prejudices passed down to them.
0 ups, 3y,

True racism is less common than most think. The supremacy beliefs are not prevalent though they are increasing in the black culture. Laws have been enacted to prohibit in practice in our governemnt both state and federal. More common are Prejudices. Prejudices are not something you can legislate. All you can do is create legal equality. I don’t see where we don’t have that.

I know what you are saying and I think each generation is less prejudiced to skin color and not more. So in my mind the basing of everything on skin color is divisive and racist. You can no more control prejudice of skin color than you can people who are prejudiced against fat people or people with disabilities or anything else. And all people have prejudices regardless of color. There are black people who hate people because they are white. There are Latinos who are prejudiced against blacks as well as whites. Whites with prejudices against Asians. Asians with prejusdices against blacks. All those people also have personal prejudices based on appearance as well.
1 up, 3y
There is a trap to fall into when you dismiss systemic racism.
Examine the factors which skew the black/brown skin demographics toward lower income and lower standard of living and higher incarceration rates. I could be naive but if the systemic racism doesn't exist or without it's ripple effects wouldn't that indicate that non-whites are somehow inferrior at earning an income? That they're more likely to commit crimes because of their racial identity?
You could wrongly say they lack the intelligence or ambition to succeed. Given that genetically ttraits we value as virtues are equally distributed throughout humankind. To suggest there's something like a racial intelligence or capability divide at birth is simply not true.
So isn't the answer in access to healthcare and education. Access to housing and employment opportunities etc. all contribute to the current ethnicity of the class divide?
Chalking it up to a lack of picking themselves up by their bootstraps is racist AF and blind to the real problems.

You guys literally occupied a whole city, for a month, Portland has had 200+ straight days of rioting. LAPD officers got shot in their car. David Dorn, a black retired cop, got murdered protecting his friend’s pawn shop. You burned down stores, after looting them. Dragged people from cars and nearly beat them to death. Overturned tables of people dining. You marched and chanted death to police. Please, do tell me more about this healing.
