The Blm riots and The capitol riots were both bad. Since it was an attack on our government, anyone involved in the violence should be judged more harshly than in the summer riots. I think we can all agree on that. What anyone bringing up this summer's riots is trying to say is that the media's reactions are very different. All summer, the media defended cities being torched and people killing cops. Then, the riots happened, and they are suddenly entirely against it. I will not try to defend either side, since they were both terrible crimes and all should spend jailtime. At the same time, you have to consider the others' point of view.

To be quite honest, I have a hard time doing that.

I cannot in good conscience berate the media for having the outrage regarding the response of peaceful protesters who spoke out against our governments travesties against the sanctity of human life.
I cannot in good conscience take the Right-Wing seriously when they espouse "the sanctity of human life" of an unborn child when they counter protest the very same message of BLM. I ask myself, "So, according to you, lives only matter when they're unborn?"
I cannot in good conscience dismiss the right for using "Blue Lives Matter" as a counter-protest slogan, and decrying the sports industry for players kneeling to the flag, when they beat a police officer with the American flag in mob rage.
It is unfortunate that there were BLM riots.
It is despicable the police reacted just as harshly to peaceful protests as they did to full blown riots.

But most of all, it is absolutely ... I say this with every fiber of my being. The most sick, twisted, racist, - I can't even find the words to express my disdain... The most disgusting thing about this, is how Trump gassed an entire square of peaceful protesters in front of a church, and rubber pelted them. All for a f**king photo. Not a year passes, and there's a mob on the way to the capitol. This was planned. There is more and more evidence to suggest it. Incredibly mounting evidence; I digress. Not a year passes, and a mob marches to the capitol, and tear gas is deployed too late.

Racial f**king profiling. BLM was right. This riot puts the message of BLM on full display.

MOSTLY Peaceful Protesters

No, all lives do matter(not trying to use that counter slogan, just stating that they do) we believe unborn lives matter, and black lives matter just as much. The problem counter-protesters had wasn't the slogan. Their problem is the idea of defunding the police or redistributing wealth in an attempt to fix the problems. Those would drive up crime and poverty.

About Trump and the church. The police drove them out because they were BURNING and vandalising the church. And the tear gas thing was a myth. They didn't drive them out for a photo, they drove them out to protect the church. The photo came later as a sort of "the church still stands" message. You are spreading lies saying they were peaceful or that they were gassed.

As for the recent event, it was intended to be peaceful, and when it got violent, they were tear gassed, driven out, and treated worse than the BLM people. You can blame congress if you think the capitol police weren't harsh enough, since they have control over them, not the president. However, a woman was shot by them defending the capitol. Yes, there were a few that took selfies with them and such, and they have been suspended. Trump then called in the National guard and broke up everything, even though they were his supporters. This had nothing to do with the race of the protesters.

I'll just say that I understand ALM. There is a reason why its offensive. I used to be of the ALM camp until I learned. The message of BLM is not to redistribute wealth. Those may have been secondary messages, but not the primary message - and that is to stop the use of excessive force against minorities undeserving of the action.

I do concede that there are reports of damage to the church, but the misinformation you're pedaling is that the fire happened the night *before*.

As for your comment itself, all i have to say is that he didn't teargass them. They were driven out, but tear gas wasn't used. And just because the fire had gone out doesn't mean the vandalism stopped.
