So the best way to get a tarantula is to follow these steps:
1. Go to a vacation island that is not the money island at 7 pm
2. Break down all the trees but don’t shovel the stumps (this rule step also includes cutting down the palm trees on the beach)
3. Pluck all the flowers but don’t shovel them
4.break all the stones to where there are no more stones on the island
(Optional)5. Put all your items on the beach except for your net, your ladder, and your vaulting pole
6. Now wait a little bit for the tarantulas to come

once there was a tarantula on my island but i couldn't see it until it was too late and it was chasing me for two minutes straight

Once I landed on a tarantula with my vaulting pole then it ran away and when I grabbed my net to catch it it bit me
