You seem like the kind of guy to have a secret superhero/villain identity

Fair.

Irl, I want to write a book about a sword wielding superhero who fulfills the prophecy of Dagor Dagorath (the Middle Earth equivalent of Armageddon) named Dragonhelm.

Noice. But think of a better name. Too generic
1 up, 4y,

It's supposed to be a reference to the Silmarillion, in which a character named TΓΊrin Turambar wears a helmet with a dragon on it's crest.

How about Blacksword (again in reference to TΓΊrin, this character will wield a black blade with shining edges)? Is that less generic?
1 up, 4y,

No! Its not less generic.
What you need to do is find a random language, translate it into that language and it'll be 100x cooler cuz nobody knows it. You can keep the reference, just make it sound cooler
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Ok lol. I still prefer Dragonhelm. I mean, most superheroes have English names, so I don't know why you're insisting on it being in a different language
1 up, 4y
Cuz it sounds cooler. But whatever you want really

No, he's trained after he receives the prosthetics. Obviously a commoner wouldn't have received the training of a government agent before being hired by the government.
1 up, 4y
Hmm. But the government wouldn't just take any random dude who's metal. He must have had something of his own.
(igtg but when you respond ill get back to you eventually)
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
I dunno. Somehow it makes the character less down-to-earth, if you know what I mean
1 up, 4y
Alrght. ITs your book
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Fine. How about either:
Mormegil (lit. Blacksword)
OR
AmlugthΓ΄l (lit. Dragonhelm)
1 up, 4y
The second one. Has a cool accent.
BTW you totally don't need to listen to me about this XD

I'm also thinking about writing a parallel book (trilogy, actually; same with Dragonhelm) about a guy who loses his limbs in an accident, and is hired by the government who give him weaponized prosthetics. He would be called Agent Swordsman, nicknamed for the two mechanical swords that slide out of his wrists. I'm thinking about maybe adding in the detail that they slowly replaced every part of him with machinery until everything except his brain had been robotized, but I'm not sure about it.
1 up, 4y
Ooooh . That sounds so cool... I probably wont read it, but it still sounds very interesting. but that's not a story. Just a background
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
Assuming we're talking about if he were almost entirely robot, not quite. But, he is highly well trained in the martial arts, and it would be very difficult to damage him, if I were to almost completely mechanize him.
1 up, 4y
Well if he were trained in the arts when he had limbs, wouldn't he need to relearn with his prosthetics?
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
True. But every character needs a background.

Should I completely mechanize him, or should I leave it at the prosthetics?
1 up, 4y
Keep going..... But is he invincible?
0 ups, 4y,

This, of course, is where his characterization comes in. I intend to make him and Dragonhelm two sides of the same coin. Dragonhelm, as I see him in my mind, is humble, compassionate, duty-oriented, and essentially a gentle giant, due to his belief in God.. However, he has low self-esteem, and is highly uncertain about the future and therefore extremely cautious. Agent Swordsman, on the other hand, is narcissistic, cold-hearted, gratification-oriented, and uses his powers to advance his personal cause, due to his agnosticism. However, he is comfortable with himself, and is more certain that nothing can go wrong, and is therefore more brazen in his actions. As their stories go along (and weave together in their third book, which their respective trilogies will share), however, Dragonhelm gains confidence in himself, and learns to rest in the certainty that G-d has everything under control, while Agent Swordsman becomes more soft, and caring towards his fellow humans, as he realizes more and more that there is a G-d who created him, and loves him unconditionally. Also, both of them are HIGHLY intelligent, which is why the government hired Agent Swordsman in the first place, alongside his initial military-like disregard for human feelings.

So, in summary, DH starts out as lawful good, AS starts out as lawful neutral, and both become neutral good in the end. Whew! That was a long explanation for why the government hired Agent Swordsman!

(I understand. I should probably go to sleep too. GN!)

Inside my body, of course. It's too big to put anywhere else without it getting in the way

ok if I make any more suggestions on how to kill you, it might be a little too much weirdness, so you win.

hey hey calm down. short isn't a bad thing, and you prolly aren't not done growing yet. you are a young wolverine.

I had to look him up XD I'm not aquatinted with pop culture artists, being homeschooled and all.

My parents estimate I'll end up being 5'10, but I hope I end up 6'2 like my dad, although that's unlikely, since my mom is 5'0.
1 up, 4y
lol Im homeschooled too. I know him. I didn't know he was famous for a while lol, he doesn't like publicity.

Neat! I live in a semi-rural area, so the closest thing to running into famous people for me is running into some of the more well-known missionaries at the local missionary center my dad works at.
