We're usually equally vocal about self-responsibility. If you wish to practice sexual promiscuity, so be it, but don't expect me to pay for your consequences.

"Sexual promiscuity"? That label comes with a bunch of sexist assumptions. Are girls and unmarried women not allowed to have sex? Are married women ONLY allowed to have sex if they are actively trying to conceive? How many times do you have to have sex to be labeled "promiscuous"? 1 1/2? 3?

And do you expect boys and men to live by these same rules?

Anybody can be sexually promiscuous. And by that, I mean people who have multiple sex partners, or have sex outside of wedlock. And no, married women can have sex outside of attempting conception.

Yes.

The pro-life people are also in favor of the death penalty and against universal daycare.

I totally forgot to add that in the title. Of course one ought to support universal daycare as well.

Or supporting Pregnancy Resource Centers who assist expectant mothers through birth and beyond.

That picture is of a nearly full-term child. It's inflammatory, inaccurate, and hurtful to women who have struggled with miscarriage or have had to get an abortion.

This report states that 65 percent of legal abortions occur within the first eight weeks of gestation, and 91 percent are performed within the first 13 weeks.

If you have a miscarriage, the child has already died. My mother has had multiple ones, and some had to be removed surgically. However, a miscarriage and an abortion are two completely different instances.

Nice argument

However, why should I have to necessarily carry the consequences of someone's actions? I can help out the best way that I can by volunteering at Pregnancy Resource Centers, though. They're excellent resources for expectant mothers during pregnancy and after birth.

Indeed it is, and it is sickening at any stage. This ought to be inflammatory. People murder fully-born children and still call it "abortion" or "women's rights."

Miscarriage is difficult, but it is different from abortion in which an unborn child dies of natural causes, not from murdering an unborn child. Any picture of abortion should be hurtful to anyone. It's a picture of a human life mercilessly killed. The time at which a baby is killed is not the issue.

Your binary take on abortion betrays a very spotty understanding of women's health and fetal development. Of course, murdering a fully-born child is murder, but that isn't abortion.

How is this spotty? It's a human whether it's been born or not.

What if it's implanted into the fallopian tubes? What if it never develops a heartbeat? The development of a fetus is messy and complicated, not a simple yes or no.

If you have a fertilized egg, more often than not, you have a life. If it doesn't develop a heartbeat, and it cannot (under any circumstances) live, then you're not killing a baby.

Of course it's complicated. This is in regards to a human life, the human body is incredibly complex.

I thought I'd already posted this, but between 10-20% of KNOWN pregnancies miscarry at around 8-10 weeks. That means that a reasonable estimate (since many people don't realize that they're pregnant that early, is that a possible 30% of fertilized eggs don't become viable pregnancies. So saying that a fertilized egg is the same as a baby doesn't add up.

And, yes, I have had one of those. And it was awful. And I was grateful, if sad, to have a D&C (an abortion procedure) to end it. NO ONE gets an abortion for fun. NO ONE gets it because it's the easy way out. They get it because they have compelling personal and/or medical reasons, and the rest of us can butt on out.

I'm sorry to hear you've had an abortion, but regardless of reasons, does end in the forced death of a human life at other human hands, which is murder, even if the child is not fully developed.

An abortion shouldn't be fun, and it shouldn't be easy, BECAUSE you're ending a life. And a fertilized egg is a life, but like most of development it is complicated. Enough babies do die early on through miscarriage (my mother has had multiple miscarriages), so there's literally no reason to end it through chemical or surgical means.

News: sometimes after a miscarriage, it IS necessary to end it through surgical means, and the compassionate doctors who provide abortion services do it. After I had this happen, two of my older female relatives told me that they'd had the same thing happen. It is painful for me to speak about this, and painful for many other women in the same or similar situation, but we should all speak up, so you can see how common it is.

Any pregnancies that women want not to carry (as should be their right) I assume you will be happy to volunteer as a gestational surrogate for. This is a real walk-a-mile-in-their-shoes issue.
