Ok, so Trump is a really good president, but not the BEST. Personally I think the best was Lincoln or Washington, but Trump is still great baby!

What policies has Trump implemented that would make him a "good" president? Please elaborate.

-Lowered taxes for middle class Americans
-Helped keep America a sovereign country
-He stands for keeping more businesses open during the pandemic (I say this because people are losing their jobs they saved up for and worked hard for their entire lives because of a virus with a low fatality rate. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be careful of Covid-19, but this is what’s happening. The politicians didn’t miss a single paycheck this year while all kinds of business owners and employees did.)
-He defended protesters in Hong Kong
-He has been appointing conservative judges at a good pace
-He ordered the operation that killed Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

I'm gonna go over the ones I think are stupid so here we go.

1. He lowered taxes disproportionally on the rich. The middle class tax cuts were offset by increases due to his disastrous tariffs.
2. I have no idea what "helped keep America sovereign" means.
3. His covid response was a disaster, and opening businesses during a pandemic is a disaster.
4. Appointing conservative judges is a bad thing.

Counter argument:

2. Keeping America sovereign means to keep it as it’s own country sort of
For example, Trump helped keep America sovereign because he closed borders. I’m not racist for saying this, (and nor is Trump for doing this) but people need to immigrate legally.
3. How was he supposed to plan this all out when Covid-19 was so unexpected? He probably believed China and the WHO’s lies about it and didn’t really prepare much. Also, the cure for Covid-19 is more deadly than the disease. Here’s what I mean: Many people are unforntunately committing suicide, getting depression, or using drugs to cope with constant isolation, and that the business they worked their asses of building is just shut down. Places shouldn’t be closed, but they should have their capacity limited a bit less.

1. Trump's immigration policies were a moral atrocity. Not only did he crack down on illegal immigrants, who came to the US due to political instability in their countries that originated from US foreign policy, he gutted the legal asylum system, making it more difficult for immigrants to legally come to the US. Keep in mind that both legal and illegal immigrants commit less violent crime, pay more than they take out, and provide massive economic benefits.

2. He knew the dangers of the pandemic back in January. There's your answer. Plus, you can institute a strict lockdown and give people stimulus. The US did a half-assed version of both, which is why its in the precarious position it's in right now.
