Oh, and, um, a few Protestants or, um - ok, millions, as they were the majority in Germany and barely tolerated their Bavarian/Catholic brethren?
Plus "firmly" and "looked the other way" is not exactly the same thing. Remember, there was a time when EVERYONE - including the USA - 'firmly' supported Hitler & Nazi Germany, even celebrated Time's Man of the Year and his rescue of a crumpled Germany, gifted them the Olympics and Sudetenland even. Heck, WWII would have never happened if he hadn't intended to expand past Poland, and he would have ridded Germany of what he termed "untermensch" with nary a mention let alone protest till after it was over.
