When you use quotation marks, that means you put exactly, verbatim, what the person wrote. You don’t get to make shit up. You don’t change tenses, or spelling. That’s why they are called quotation marks; they quote what the person said. I said “weak ass LIBERAL cryBABIES”. I also said mommy and DADDY and I made no mention of any “basement”.
