Right after christmas, what are some great traditions?

Yes, every year me and my family get a 2 liter bottle of Sunkist instead of champagne, since my dad is not the drinking type and we can not drink straight up

Waking up and listening to the fireworks from bed.

LOL the fireworks could be annoying if you are in bed lol

I don't mind the sound of fireworks any more than I mind the sound of thunder. Both can be enjoyed if you have the right perspective. So if I know there's going to be a lot of noise around midnight, I can enjoy the sounds of people celebrating from my bed.

I also really like the sounds of kids playing and laughing, so I can doze when the neighborhood kids are out without being bothered.

Usually I would sit alone, watching happy couples on the square while I sulk in my loneliness.

I traditionally strangle kids to death and stuff their heads up their butts. But enough about me

We always have a traditional southern new years meal, about to eat now as a matter of fact. Collard greens, black eyed peas, cornbread, some sort of pork (in this case pulled pork bbq), and mac n cheese. The collards are green and supposed to represent a wallet full of green cash for the new year, the peas represent coins, and the rest is just good to go with it, lol. Most of my family and others in the area do the same.
