Personally I'm fine with it...I've got nothing to hide, and the only way tapes or whatever will ever come to light is if I have to shoot down defamatory allegations (for whatever reason).

Oh yeah? People are increasingly agitating for larger government, curbed religious freedom, increased bureaucracy, and a general dilution of individual and state rights in favor of the 'greater good' of the nation as a whole. This is distinctly anti-American, and if taken to the extreme could indeed result in a world where what we take for granted today (freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, etc) is illegal tomorrow.

Those things are all anathema in Asian culture. Communists hate individuality. In all things the state must be first.

Oh the NSA does record pretty much anything that triggers monitor software. Be assured of that. They record every electronic transaction you make, your personal information online, and probably lots of other stuff.

The thing is, if they haven't proffered anything against someone as controversial as Harvey Weinstein (for example), you can bet money we don't have to worry about them doing much damage unless hackers somehow steal that info.
