I think that a great way of curbing abortion rates is by giving women better access to birth control/contraceptives. I mean, a woman never really wants an abortion like she wants an ice-cream cone, she wants an abortion like an animal caught in a trap wants to gnaw their own leg off.

If the woman feels that strongly about getting rid of her baby, then adoption is like giving the woman a key to unlock the trap. No need to harm the mother or the child.

Well now, what if she doesn't have access to a good adoption agency? I don't really like abortion, but I respect that it's the woman's choice especially since making all abortion illegal will force women to carry children who aren't even able to survive outside the uterus to full term. Also, abortion wouldn't even be a consideration for most women who do abort if they had better access to contraception, because there's no need to terminate a pregnancy that was prevented.

Thats the sad problem. Adoption costs way too much, while Planned Parenthood will do abortions for free if the mother has no money. I understand there are special cases where it must be necessary, but that is a very small percentage of the nearly two thousand children aborted EVERY DAY. 😢

Yeah, and if people were educated on contraceptives and had better access to them, then maybe none of that would be necessary.

You would think so..
But contraceptives are readily available over the counter. The problem is with the people that just don't care. They are irresponsible and don't want to take responsibility for their own actions. And this goes for both men and women.

I was adopted, and I agree with you. And sadly that very scenario seems to happen more and more. It feels like fostering has become an industry of this age.

I don’t know any rational human being who could ever be opposed to adoption. I know the laws in this country, for whatever reason, makes adoption extremely difficult and that’s a wrong that needs to be righted.
