I wasn't a big fan of country music growing up, but really enjoyed his "Kiss An Angel Good Morning" and "Crystal Chandeliers". He will be very missed.

I grew up not liking Country of that era, but it sounds all nice and comfy now.

Anyways, yes, R.I.P., Charley Pride, from a time when the sun on America smiled.

What do you know, anyhow? You weren't listening to late 60's early 70's country. You were into the Cowsills, The Monkees, Josie and the Pussycats, the Bananasplits, and the Archie's. Prob'ly a big fan of NKOB, the Hansen's, Blur, and BSB, too, no doubt about it.

That's right, I'm not as old as you, so it would have been impossible to have done so.

I did listen to The Monkees, Josie and the Pussycats, the Bananasplits, and of course, The Partridge Family, as that came with watching their shows.

Plus, like I said - and need to remind you because your memory capacity is compromised due to complications from being 'overly ripened' - I did not listen to nor like Country & Western back in the 70s, but we (Americans) all did all watch Hee Haw, hence my exposure.

Your fave 90s selection sucks, but then again, what can anyone expect from some Top 40 affecionado whose life got remolded by "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" when he was living in Sweden in his cousin's apt. Move over Pat Boone, there's a new 45 on your player.
