They both have depressing backstories. Ink originated in a half-finished universe, and had to destroy his own SOUL to escape. Error was experimenting with determination to avenge the underground, and it ended up backfiring on him.

Therefore, I would mercy both.

I feel bad for Error now! I should Mercy him... He needs a hug!

Idk why, but I just really like the bad guys. Maybe it's because they are more interesting, but idk lol

Maybe it's their backstory's I guess. Like Nightmare was just a scared kid, he didn't deserve what he got. Cross's universe got destroyed (I think) Horror is just the insane one with Killer.

Nightmare has one of the saddest pasts. there's an animation on this called "2 Birds on a wire". He was just a scared kid who got bullied all the time. He didn't deserve what he is now, which is the embodiment of negativity/gradian of negativity. Also he tried to forget about Dream, but he realized it's hard to forget someone you loved. But Nightmare may NEVER show it, but he really does care for a few things. (That's pretty much all the info I got on Nightmare actually)
