My name means vigilant. I have been told many times that I'm very observant.
I have a friend who's name means pure. She's one of the most saintly people I've met.
I have two friends who are sisters. Their names both mean light. They are truly beacons of joy, beauty, and holiness.
I have a youth leader who's name means Man, or Male. He lifts weights, hunts, and all that good stuff that I wish I could do but I haven't had the opportunity for yet.
Another youth leader of mine has a name that means striving. She always sees things through to the end, and she is a member of the National Honor Society.
Yet another one of my youth leader's name means Merciful. I have never seen her raise her voice at, or hold a grudge against, anyone.
Those are just a few examples. If you want to research it further, look up names of your friends and see how well the meanings match with their personalities. Oh, and another thing to look for: their strongest temptations and hardest struggles often incline them to act in contradiction to the meaning of their names.
