My dad collects, or collected at one time, he told me where to find them in the event of his passing, he collects bones more now tho.

I collected when I was a kid, then the '79 silver and gold crash happened so I stopped and focused muh money on records, video games, and calzones (the pizzeria had games).
Then I started again in 2004, but stopped 2 years ago when I overdid it a couple of months with the credit card. Then I started this year, and I can't stop.

Atleast your addiction has a monetary value, not lost in hang overs and regret. But you can't spend it either heh heh. I collect tv and movie die cast cars, problem is, I opened them all up so devalues the collectivity of them, but it's harder to play with them still in the boxxes. One collector that used to find them for me would cringe when I opened them up.

I've got me a load of those too.

Problem is I have so many, and where I might end up in the future is kinda limited. I don't have a license or car, so worse comes to worse it ain't like if I had a big van I could stash em in that and drive out to some cheaper State to live.

I don't know much about cars, but was big on Matchbox and Hot Wheels when I was a kid. I almost ended up looking into that on eBay recently, but stop lest I get hooked on that.

Yeah, opening them sucks, but they ARE made to be looked at and handled.

Too bad we're not close to eachother, I got a van you could use, got about 5 cars for sale too for $1500-$2k each and one limo. My addiction comes in the form of projects as a car, boat, truck and bike guy, too many projects not enough space or time. I wish I were normal.
