Actually if you have the money, you just keep appealing to higher courts until you win. If both parties are rich it goes to the Supreme court.

Can you imagine how inundated the Supreme Court would be with cases if that were even remotely true? They're only nine people, they can only get through so many cases in a year.

No, the justices over the district courts can say no. That means they select which ones skip the normal back and forth appeal process. In this case we now have 4 conservative judges so these cases will go to the top of the pile.
