Yeah it’s frustrating to keep encountering conservatives who seem to think that sex (fundamental, healthy biological impulse and — hello — where we come from as a species, which we’d quickly go extinct without) is on par with and in fact even worse than flagrant violence, racism, harassment, abuse, etc. etc.
I had three gorgeous memes unfeatured today for “nudity” (no other explanation given) even though I censored every last pixel of nipple, genitalia, etc. I can only assume they were unfeatured because the models were otherwise wearing no clothing, although if all the private bits were covered up the same way they would be with a bikini, I can’t imagine why that matters. Plus, I see similar content featured all the time.
The “sexual morals” fixation doesn’t even make sense anymore after they backed Donald Trump, the most sexually libertine President we’ve had since... well, since at least Bill Clinton. Whom we were told over and over was the devil incarnate for all he did. Not that I’m defending Bill Clinton (or that I even have to: He hasn’t been President for 20 years and per our constitutional design never will be again), but it’s impossible to take that rightie genuflecting about morals sexual or otherwise seriously anymore.
The content you see on a daily basis in politics is far more disgusting, dangerous, and in some cases actually deadly (anti-masker propaganda, etc.) than anything you would ever find in the boobs and booty-type streams.
