If they can encroach on our rights this much, and promise things along the way (eventual normalcy, the vaccine will help a ton, etc) and then they do not fulfill their promises as expected, what can they get away with?
Let's follow the trajectory with the mask situation. Originally they said, "Don't wear a mask." Remember those Tweets from the Surgeon General, basically screaming at people? "Stop WEARING MASKS!"; Then it was: "aahhh you should probably wear a mask if you're in a store, and you are next to someone you don't know (in public)."; And then it was: "You should probably wear a mask outside, too"; And then it was: "You should just wear masks all the time"; Now they are saying: "You should wear masks, in your own house, with your own family, at Thanksgiving."; NOW, it is: "You should wear masks, and social distance, even after the vaccine comes out."; (Paraphrasing here) Fauci states: "even after the vaccine is distributed to the public, masks as social distancing will still need to happen."; https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/16/fauci-why-still-need-masks-social-distancing-after-covid-19-vaccine.html
