2008 - Dems gain 21 seats holding majority
2010 - Pubs gain 63 seats, gaining majority
2012 - Dems gain 8 seats, no majority gained (Obama won this year, proving the whole "House matches the presidential election." bit.
2014 - Reps gain 13 seats, majority held.
2016 - Trump is voted into office, Dems gain 6 seats. Majority held (again breaking the other way in which you could defend your claim.)
2018 - Dems gain 41 seats - the first time in this 12 year period where the pendulum stays to one side. (probably because of a bad president.)
2020 - Reps gain 7 seats.

Lol, I love this argument, it's so ridiculously hollow that anyone who actually studied history could run circles around it. Ever heard of James Buchanan? Very controversial for his time. He supported Kansas coming into the US union with a Pro-Slavery Constitution. He also supported a supreme court decision that denied African Americans citizenship. He also refused to challenge the spread of slavery or the growing bloc of states that became the confederacy. This move, controversial.

FDR created socialist programs for the US to provide relief to the unemployed and farmers seeking econmic recovery with the National recovery administration.

You see, the thing about Lincoln and FDR is that their interest was primarily bringing the country back together. Same as Obama. Trump is loved only by one side. He also seeks to completely demonize another political party. He does nothing for this country. He brought the swamp into the white house with him.
