What a warped view of history you have. They didn't die trying to be free, they died because they tried to keep slaves from being free.

no, they died trying to maintain their laws, which were indeed keeping slaves, but they also seceded from the united states because they were shoving laws on the south that the south didn't like. so, i have no warped view of history, i see the facts, the north won the war so they changed history to justify themselves, so i decided to research the civil war a bit more then what my 2nd-grade teacher thought me. I'm just being open-minded, and id love to hear your thoughts and facts on the war

well, the south werent traitors per se, they had the right toseced, so they did, they didn't like all the laws the north were trying to push on them, so theyused their rights, and seceded as a new country. there were no traitors in the civil war, technically it wasnt even a civil war. it was a normal war between countries.
