The sycophantic kabuki-theater from the GOP needs to stop before someone in the MAGA mob starts shooting folks.

One of the talking heads on MSNBC who knows Trump personally said, yeah it's partially his hurt feelings, but he's probably over that now. He started attacking Fox. He's going to setup his own "news" channel with digital distribution. Have it cost $6 a month. Even if he gets 20% of his audience to sign up for that, that's $1 billion a year.

Then he'll control the Republican Party from there. Anyone who doesn't toe his line, gets a full network blast about how they're a RINO. And the people who show up for primaries, his ride-or-die bitches, they Primary anyone who doesn't fall in line with Donny.

Unless his ass goes to jail, we are dealing with Trumpism for a long time.

Was just thinking about that.

Even if Trump gets prosecuted and goes to jail, (sadly unlikely, since he’ll find some way to either pardon himself or engineer a pardon for himself by stepping down 5 minutes before his term is up and having Mike Pence do it; OR equally likely the Biden DOJ will lose interest in all these “water under the bridge” scandals or somehow otherwise talk themselves out of it), MAGA-heads will inevitably see any such attempt at holding Trump accountable as political persecution and a ticket for assigning Trump martyrdom, Nelson Mandela-like status.

As we’ve seen over scandal after scandal, there’s no end to the rationalization for these folks. Trump was caught flat-out admitting to grabbing pussies the month before the 2016 election: what hope does a “Democrat” or “RINO”-led prosecution have of changing their minds?

Although being behind bars would present logistical challenges to running a TV network. Would his captors let him tweet? Will Twitter continue to let him tweet at all after he’s no longer a “world leader” and they no longer have to?
