Yeah, I bounce between my 70-300 and my 50 prime quite a bit. Cropped sensor so factor in the multiplier and those two offer quite a lot of flexibility.

Phones have spectacularly good cameras these days. iPhone 6 isn't that old. You're limited in how much you can zoom in on things but there are many many possibilities. Just have fun with it.

I literally have to zoom in to something fully to get a good picture of it.
