It's pretty sad how far this country has fallen, but I also think we're a little too caught up in ourselves.

So long as neither side tries to pack the courts or otherwise dismantle the Constitution I'm generally quite happy to support whoever wins office.

I'm not quite that doom-and-gloomy about it, but I admit my concern for the damage they could do during their term(s) would be quite extensive.

It's not going to be impossible to override though. The basic provision in the Constitution can never be overridden, the majority of the Amendments are too popular to ever be replaced, and sooner or later people will wake up to what they're up to. We're not going to become Venezuela 2.0.
