Okay, I confess: I really cannot walk over water.

But I knew from the beginning that HRC was the worst choice of the Democrats, and I was willing to give Trump a chance to fulfill the promise he made of being different.
One month later, he had fulfilled that promise...but not in the way I thought. And the facepalming of me became pure dismay especially after the failed impeachment.

I honestly think that Harris would have been the better candidate for the election 2020. For my taste, Biden is a touch too nice to keep the Republicans in check.

Oh, I’d have preferred any number of other Democrats who ran in the primaries.

Problem is this election showed there’s still waaaaaaay too much endemic racism, sexism, youthism, and reflexive fear of “socialism!” in this country for a strident or any way out-of-the-norm Democrat at the top of the ticket.

I think Harris, Sanders, or Warren all would have been crushed. Maaaaaaaybe Buttigieg could have succeeded since he has an Obama-like talent for communication, but he would have had even less of a political resume and again, conciliatory in style. Not to mention homosexual. Forgot to mention anti-gay prejudice too.

A lot of the Left is out for blood at this point but the Democratic coalition unlike the Republican one at this point relies on moderates. That’s just the facts. And the Left hates Donald Trump so much that they pulled behind a moderate like Biden this time anyway.

I have really come to believe that Joe Biden is the only person in the country who could have unseated Trump. And thank the Lord, he appears to have done just that.
