Exactly, but that's where the government falls short, Capitalism is a great system in which people can become rich but it has it's drawbacks. It comes with lots of Greed, and trying to rise to the top is extremely difficult thing. There also a very large chance of you drowning in debt. I feel like the best system would be a mix of Socialism and Capitalism

I know you're probably referring to Denmark and actually, they have no minimum wage the business decides how much they pay their workers. Yes, in Denmark they do have universal healthcare but many Danes are leaving it for private health insurance. And they pay for all this healthcare by heavily taxing the poor.

The goal of tariffs is to keep national businesses competitive with foreign products. If another country is tariffing your countries products but you aren't tariffing theirs your country's businesses start to go out of business. Tarifs should be high enough to keep business competitive with the foreign business but not to the point, there's no competition.

Forget minimum wage. My point was nearly all modern western countries can provide healthcare, decent living wages and education as well as long term paternity/maternity leave, among other societal benefits. You are right Norway does all of this. So do MANY other countries.

If we are the best we should have the best quality of life standards- even better than these countries. If we have the greatest economy of all time ever in the history of the planet...we should have the best wages, healthcare etc for all of our citizens. Not just the wealthy. They have the money. Tax them.

At what price? 40-60% income tax? I agree that American healthcare is a wreck but putting the government in charge is not the solution.
