You do realise the platform reflected much of the desires for a peoples who had endured WW2 and it's austerity?
Women who had been in full employ during the war years were losing or lost jobs to the men who went and fought and were paid less when they had done the same jobs and so were demanding equal pay.
But things like wanting to extend/provide asylum for refuges is probably the clearest point in your list which stemed from the displacement and general economic destruction that occurred during those war years and which created a desire to re-settle those poor hungry masses predominately from Europe who would assimilate into the American culture quite easily.
I haven't a clue what the bootlicking is about though.
