Agreeing with @Drizzy, it can feel pretty bad. I think, and know, bottling up emotions will most likely have a negative effect on you. I tried hiding any sadness, anger, love, or even joy from others and it hurt me as much as it hurt my friends and family(and before you stop reading this, no, this is not some random story you'd see or hear in a cartoon, this is my experience and how I learned my lessons the hard way). I say bottling up emotions is a good start. Find someone you can trust, personally, I think a best friend or someone you trust online to talk to you(I understand talking to parents is awkward so talk to someone older but still not so awkward for you). Being able to allow your emotions to be expressed whether it's joy or anger allows you to relieve pressure on your mental and even physical health.
