I did not say that votes make all people free. In most democracies, people who commit murder and similar crimes are put in prison. But, the policies and procedures of government can be endorsed or voided by a majority vote. In a tyranny, no one can void the acts of the tyrant.
If votes do not always make people free, the lack of the right to vote is an almost 100% guarantee of the lack of freedom.
But, it is interesting that you, an ardent Trump apologist, are anti-democracy. I never expected one of your ilk to admit to that.
