It's fascinating how childish your thinking is. No, votes do not make people free. A democratic tyranny is quite easy to imagine.

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what's for lunch."

Yes, tyranny can happen in all forms of government. It's also not hard to imagine all the forms of tyranny in the types of government.

Here's an example: A Republic is two wolves and a lamb voting for someone to decide what to eat for lunch.

Votes do not make people free. But they make it so that people's voices can be heard and that power is in the hands of the voters.

Russia Wolf and Iran Wolf voting with America Lamb voting on what's for lunch? Sounds about right.

So, a better analogy would be ...

The black sheep party votes to stay close to the forest where the wolves are, and the white sheep party votes to stay in the center of the meadow so they can see the wolves coming. White sheep hold the majority.

Black sheep say that the wolves are a conspiracy, there are no wolves! Meanwhile there's a black wolf in black sheep's clothing showing them that the thickest grass grows in the shade of a tree during the summer.

Have fun eating your conspiracy grass, sheep.

Why you so rayciss?

In biology, only a very small number of scientists see animals of different colors as distinct races. The overwhelming majority simply see them as animals of different colors. It is possible that the first group is expressing their own racism, in their classification of animals.

In the English language, black sheep is an idiom used to describe an odd or disreputable member of a group, especially within a family.

In this context of the American Citizenry (family) Trump supporters are the nation's (the populace of the pasture) black sheep.

Is chess racist?

Why you so illiterate?

So, you are in favor of voter suppression?

A "democratic tyranny?" Have you been reading Robert Welch? I suggest instead Rene Descartes writings on "dualism."

I did not say that votes make all people free. In most democracies, people who commit murder and similar crimes are put in prison. But, the policies and procedures of government can be endorsed or voided by a majority vote. In a tyranny, no one can void the acts of the tyrant.

If votes do not always make people free, the lack of the right to vote is an almost 100% guarantee of the lack of freedom.

But, it is interesting that you, an ardent Trump apologist, are anti-democracy. I never expected one of your ilk to admit to that.

"But, it is interesting that you, an ardent Trump apologist, are anti-democracy."

I didn't say that. Overall, I'm neutral on the subject, neither especially for or against democracy. I was just trying to point out to you that "voting = freedom" is nonsense. A just king can rule over a free people. An unjust majority can tyrannize the rest in a democracy. And in a representative democracy, the elected government can easily abuse the powers entrusted them to mistreat the populace as a whole.

But I guess your brain lacks the processing power to deal with any idea more complex than "democracy good" or "democracy bad".

The lack of logic in your argument is fascinating. "An unjust majority?"

Yes, a majority can behave unjustly. Is it that hard to understand?

I guess it must seem that way to some losers.

White people are a majority in this country. If all the white people voted that all black people should receive double penalties for the same crimes as a whites person would, would that be unjust? Or would the mere fact of their majority justify it?

You’ve never thought through this at all, have you?

I am simply amazed that someone would even think of something that bizarre. Wow. You are joking, right? Don't bother answering. Anything you might say would pale by comparison to that absurd comment.
