So you would agree then that medicare for all is not socialism.

Healthcare is a difficult subject. I am not for socialized medicine. It is ok for regular stuff but the budgeting and triage leave people vulnerable for more serious conditions. I live in California so we have medi cal and pretty much anyone without Insurance gets it. We don’t let people die in the emergency room for lack of insurance so we are going to pay for emergency care one way or the other. The program is rife with fraud and abuse like welfare but it is a decent program and allows for others to keep their private employer insurance. As with all social programs the question, to Harry’s point,!is It fair for people who don’t contribute to live freely off those who do. I’m not talking about low income assistance. I am talking about those who have chosen to live off grid and on drugs.

That's a weird and flawed definition of what socialism is but even then basically everyone besides what I would imagine would be the extremely poor (though I'm not entirely sure) pay into medicare for all.
