I was just a kid, but watched the conventions with my Dad and never forgot Reagan's nomination speech for Goldwater, later known as "A Time for Choosing" We rode our bikes around singing Beatles songs after Ed Sullivan, I rode my bike around quoting Reagan after the convention.
