The arctic ice sheet was a real thing fifteen years ago, now young people are growing up thinking that's just all ocean. I would remember that ancient Egypt used to be a fertile, grassy plains area until a natural cycle of events transformed it into a primarily desert region. And I would accept that this planet has undergone cyclic changes since its very beginning and carry on.

Most of the region suffered from great drought and many perished. If that happened on Earth the Viking people might rise up and take whats left so your people would be ok :D

Global Warming isnt exactly caused by the sun at all.
Global Warming is mainly caused by the Ice caps in Antarctica, Alaska.
There is a supposed to be a good balance of Fresh Water and Salt water. The Ice caps are made of Fresh water, which is constantly being dumped in the ocean.

This is what happened in the last ice age, and will happen again in the next one for maybe the next hundred years. Or it could happen any day.

If theres not a good balance of Fresh water and salt water, there could be a global catastrophe! Global realignment, that is. Mainly thats why we have so many storms and theres hurricane seasons to fix it.
But sooner or later, hopefully later so we could fix this.

However we will see tornadoes, hail the size of car tires, the biggest hurricane record, and massive earthquakes. Then maybe, we could see the Ice age, where there is no wind and is so cold that it would freeze you in a mattee of seconds. That would be the eye of the storm.
These storms could show up anywhere at anytime, even though that place doesnt get any of those. Like Los Angeles's doesnt get tornados but it could happen.

I watch a lot of documentaries and movies in my free time. 😅
