I don't think anybody could pull it off today either, especially since you only get 2 fun stream submissions now. Not to mention not many people I know even check the fun stream for content past whatever's on the front page.

I don't even care about points, but I want to see good memes. I had to delete 3 people from my followed users because they were the only memes I was seeing (besides crap on the fun stream)

Hope I wasn’t one of them, lol. I mostly follow adults and longtime users, as they are generally the posters I find the funniest. In fact, quite a few of the people I follow are users that aren’t even active anymore like Invicta, Jying, and farmerann, just in case they decided to come back. A couple kids crank out some good memes so they earned a follow from me too. Otherwise I don’t really follow most of the current Imgflip userbase.

I didn't unfollow you lol. I am liking my feed much better now that I culled a few. I also follow users that are inactive for the same reason.

I think the ammount of submissions went down to 2 because the mods got sick of seeing cringy memes made by 9 year olds and 40 year old Facebook moms

No, we still see more than enough cringy memes, lol. It's because there only used to be the one main stream before 2018 with some small streams since streams were still in beta testing. With only one stream, you got more submissions back then, provided you were posting consistently. Once the main stream was divided into fun, politics, and repost, they reduced the amount of submissions in the main (now fun) stream.

I thought fun was the only "official" imgflip stream because it was the only one you could follow. I assumed all the other streams like repost, politics, and gaming were just streams that became really popular, because you can follow them like normal streams unlike fun. Maybe that explains why only community mods and global mods are the mods of them.

How do you even become community or global mod?

I'm pretty sure you need to be at least either 15 or 18, and prob have to contact Dylan or one of the global mods.

I really hate these days tbh, most of the front page is crap memes, sometimes there is a good meme that gives me a laugh but people get memes on the front page for spamming the links everywhere.
