If Trump loses and loses big in November, “packing the court” becomes not only sensible but imperative in a democratic sense.

Wow, KF. You've posted some pretty unhinged memes in the past, but this one takes the cake.

Sometimes you fail to see the most obvious things. In this case, that means there is no end game to packing the court. You snowflakes may pack it if Biden gets elected, but then the next time a republican gets elected, along with a republican senate, they can either pack it some more, or maybe even unpack it.

That's the problem when you SJWs believe you're right, no matter how ridiculous the cause. You don't think things through logically. Your emotion clouds your intellect.

Will court packing inevitably lead to this? Not if we amend the Constitution! | Court packing will lead to an endless vicious cycle of partisanship and never-ending expansion of the court! Whatever will we do?! Amend the | image tagged in swole doge vs cheems flipped, constitution | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
We haven’t amended the Constitution in a long time and I reckon it is high time we dust off that good ol’ document again regarding the judicial issue.

You may say I’m a dreamer, that there’s no way in hell we can amend the Constitution when partisanship is running this high.

Well — if that’s the case then we’ve basically lost our democracy. If we can’t compromise and amend our Constitution any more then we can’t adapt as a country and may as well seek an amicable divorce — Trumpmerica vs. The United States of Canada.

We’ll see where things shake out after November. I predict a big win for Democrats which will put Republicans on their heels and in a compromising mood.

I think the GOP could be persuaded to expand SCOTUS a little bit to restore balance (honestly, 6-3 conservatives vs. liberals on SCOTUS is democratically unsustainable and they oughta know it), in exchange for future protections that would be embedded in a well-thought-out constitutional amendment.

Having 18 years SCOTUS terms is the broad outline of one plan I’ve heard.

Quite the opposite

We need judges who are not judicial activist Rightists in order to ensure that legislation that is democratically passed isn’t stricken down.

Obamacare being a case in point.

I am not the world’s biggest fan of the ACA to be honest. It hasn’t done enough to control costs, it’s true. I do think it was a giveaway to insurance companies.

We need to bite the bullet and do what most every other first-world nation has done: Take the profit motive out of healthcare and make it universal.

However

We were talking about democracy vs. judicial activism, and it must be conceded that the ACA was passed democratically and if you really care about stopping judicial activism, you ought to believe it should be upheld as a consequence.
