One of the countries in the study we were compared to was Canada. Canada's healthcare delivery system is decentralized to the provinces by law. Their leader responded to the crisis and brought people together. Ours got into a debate with the governor of a "Blue," state, and publicly demanded compliments for any help he provided. The study found that Canada's model would have resulted in about 59% fewer deaths after May 10. Australia's model, which has a more centralized approach, produced 94% fewer deaths. It appears that President Pandemic's "playing down," of the threat of the disease, contributed to the body count. But, I am sure that his continued refusal to help "Blue," states hit hard by COVID is a comfort to the families of his supporters who report that they followed his example, got sick, and passed away. He resisted the urge to help save lives on "principle!"
