What false sense of security? Everything Trump said was correct. You need to take precautions, but you don't need to be hoarding toilet paper and panicking like everyone was before Trump calmed people down and we realized this virus wasn't nearly as bad as we feared.

Trump saved millions of lives that were endangered by the virus. He didn't cause the virus. The projections were that over 2 million would died. He was able to save 90%. Keep in mind most that died had other deadly conditions. It's difficult to know how many of those remaining 10% could have been saved by the President.
