FLOTUS tweeted not too long ago that everyone needed to wear a mask to stay safe but no one listens to her, not even Trumpanzees.

So being a lawyer and spending 47 years in the swamp are supposed to be reasons to vote for him?

Should you vote against Trump just because he caught Covid? | image tagged in well no but actually yes | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
This isn’t like a sudden bout of cancer; it was entirely predictable and preventable.

But Trump has downplayed the crisis since the beginning and any number of insanely optimistic predictions made by him (it’ll all be gone by Easter, the warm weather will kill it off, etc.) which ran counter to the science have, surprise surprise, been proven false again and again.

Don’t forget the Hydroxychloroquine saga (where is that drug now?) not to mention, even worse, the disinfectant and UV light comments.

His rambling speech recently where he boosted Regeneron as a miracle cure (he actually said that: “cure”), as if he were on a cheap infomercial underscores his ongoing failure to be honest and levelheaded or grasp any of this.

So, Trump and his team and many GOP Senators coming down with the bug after a superspreader event that was not socially distanced at all and where hardly anyone wore masks is awfully fitting and awfully emblematic of his entire response to Covid.

Aaaaaaand all that goes a long way toward explaining we’re “#1” in Covid on any number of measures.

I’m glad he recovered, cause his ass belongs to the American voters.

Leadership starts at the top. Vote him out.

"But Trump has downplayed the crisis since the beginning..."

Yes, just like everyone else. Remember Pelosi's comments about eating out at Asian restaurants?

"Don’t forget the Hydroxychloroquine saga (where is that drug now?) not to mention, even worse, the disinfectant and UV light comments."

Hydroxychloroquine is still relevant. Just because you don't hear about it in the mail stream doesn't mean it went away. It works as good now as it did in the past.

And c'mon man, I don't think you're stupid, just mislead, the UV light thing was actually something he was repeating about a technology that was already being done in, I believe, cancer patients.

Nope: The “Democrats” and the “media” were causing a “panic” over a bug that was no worse than the flu. Tantamount to “their new hoax” as Trump himself put it at a rally where he also predicted 15 Covid cases would go down to 0 all because of his precious China travel ban.

That was the right-wing narrative from the beginning and for many many months thereafter and still is to an extent today. Your efforts to rewrite history ain’t gonna work with me.

As it stands, HXQ is about as “relevant” as any of several dozen other potential treatments/cures that need more study, but didn’t receive any more attention than was warranted because POTUS didn’t take a personal fixation in them.

Anywho, as we see Trump continues to hype unproven pharmaceutical treatments while downplaying the common-sense and recommended (but unsexy and politically disfavored) social distancing and masking guidelines.

As Kamala Harris put it at the debate: If the doctors say take a vaccine, she’ll be the first in line. If Trump says take it, she ain’t taking it.

His credibility over all of this is shot to pieces.

One of many reasons he will lose and lose big in November.

He stated “their new hoax“ in reference to the lefts criticism of his actions like closing the travel. Repeating lies doesn’t make them truth. Still a lie. Same with the drink bleach bullshit. Blatantly obvious he did not say that and the UV light thing is being used to disinfect subway cars in New York. Both of these statements are available to stream. As a matter of fact he never says the word bleach.

I ask again if you have your magic mask on what does it matter if others dont? The magic mask will protect you won’t it?

In anticipation of your “responsibility to save lives” response. Why aren’t you advocating for mandatory condom use? Seems with your dedication to saving life this would be a no brainer. This would prevent the deaths of literally hundreds of thousands if not millions of deaths to viable fetuses. Save lives! Strengthen Condom use laws. It’s for the children!

No, he thought Democrats were hyping up the virus for political reasons to unseat him in November.

If he thought the China travel ban was going to work, he was wrong. The virus was already here and well underway. And if it didn’t come from China then it would have inevitably come from Europe or Canada or Mexico or any other place, because it’s a GLOBAL pandemic.

Hence why domestic preparedness measures were and remain critical.

Simplest thing? Stay distant when you can, wash your hands, and wear the damn mask. Don’t hawk unproven pharmaceutical and disinfectant, whatnot treatments.

Reproductive health and choices are a total non-sequitur.

Tl;dr 2020 was a science test, Trump had many chances to learn and study and adapt and he blew them all.

Point is he never called the virus a hoax, that’s a lie. He may be guilty of downplaying it but not of calling it a hoax

“Their new hoax.” Direct quotation. You cannot credibly accuse me of lying by quoting him accurately. His paragraph makes no sense if you apply the dictionary definition of “hoax” to what he said (since he acknowledged 15 cases later). People have also tried to claim that by “it” he was referring to “media panic.” Tbh, it’s an unclear incoherent ramble as per usual from our President.

But. That. Is. What. He. Said.

At best, Trump himself knew it was not a hoax and yet pushed that garbage on his supporters anyway. It did nothing to convince people the virus was worth being taken seriously and plenty to give cover to Covid denialists — people who literally believe the virus isn’t real.

I know there were some on ImgFlip even claiming that awhile back. Are they still out there, even now that probably everyone knows someone who has at least been infected or exposed? I dunno man.

Public awareness of crises begins at the top with a President who is capable of telling the truth.

Yes I can accuse you of lying by inferring he was talking about the virus when he plainly was not. He said the words but the lie comes in saying he said them about the virus and not the Democratic accusations. So you used a true statement to build a lie. Typical propaganda. Just like the drink bleach claim.
