Heard of the USSR? It had no religion. Look at how many people died.

The USSR has tolerated religion (especially Russian Orthodox) even under Stalin as long as it was in line with the party policies. Same is valid for all states which were part of the former Easter Bloc.
Judaism was not explicit forbidden although especially in Russia, Jews were persecuted and pushed to leave the country until the 1980s. Islamism was widely suppressed, but people belonging to this religion were not generally persecuted unless they engaged in anti-Soviet activities.

Are you hearing what you're saying? You're saying without religion everything would be better. May I remind you Christian churches donate billions of dollars to the poor and the helpless in their communities? And you're saying the world would be better off?

Religion was and is a major reason for armed conflicts, commonly called "war".

Religion was and is still a major factor in the denouncement, persecution and killing of humans who "dared" not to live by the fairytale books some people wrote even centuries after the alleged events without any evidence of their happenings or recorded material of any kind.

Religion receives gazillions of money by tax deductions (= your money) and the donations of the fooled. Although many countries do not require the churches to open their books completely for the public (Remember? It's your money) there is enough evidence that churches are immensely wealthy, with the Catholic Church being more wealthy than many top stocklisted companies.

And if that is not enough, Religion engages in a lot of worldly businesses which earns them more money. In the meanwhile, people working for church-related businesses are denied many rights which are commonplace for other workers in several countries.

Religion collaborated more than once with dictators of the most vile kind. The best known and most repugnant example is the Catholic Church of Germany who had signed the infamous 1933 Reichskonkordat with Hitler. The Germans are still paying a direct church tax since this agreement, the only country to do so.

Religion fücked their own, especially children and adolescents. More than once. And they use any legal and illegal trick as withholding any compensation as long as they can, not to mention direct and honest apologies towards the victims.

Shall I keep on? Whole books were written about the figments called Religion.

Hitler a Christian? Don't make me laugh. Anyone can call themselves a Christian but doesn't mean they're actually saved. I don't believe in taxes going straight to the church. I personally believe that the Catholics rather than being the church of God became just a power position over time. That's why you separate the church from the government. A lot of churches are actually poorer than you think depending on their community and their membership count. I don't know what business you are referring to. There is a reason the Catholic church split.
