I’m not a huge fan of the front page nowadays because there is way too much drama at the front page

What is important to realize is that on all sites where we have "hot stuff", this will eventually happen. Especially when people have followers. And when you are popular enough the quality of your stuff no longer matters. You get upvoted out of friendship then, and that messes up the charts, and then this is the result.... What to do about it? Nothing... This is the way it always has been and always will be... Not only on the internet by the way. Computers can calculate quantity, but it cannot judge quality. And since a lot of people value quantity over quality (or so it seems), this will always happen.
Best is to grin and bear it, or try to follow people you know to be good memers, and to focus on streams that interest you.

There should be different users getting on the front page of the fun stream as well as other streams.

Yeah there is something wrong when followership is indicative of quality. I'm not saying these whales have not earned their status. Maybe there is no good way to change how voting works.

ikr? it seems the only way for new users to get on the front page is to upvote beg bc the other users have so many followers that upvote all of their memes even if its not a good meme :/ wich is kinda sad

and it feels like there's only new content there once a week
