Well, synthetic-Mantis isn't a part of this stream and isn't running for President. I will say I've interacted with him/her several times. My takeaway is he/she is a strong critic of Israel and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East (plenty to criticize there), but not someone who regurgitates unhinged, age-old anti-Semitic tropes about Jewish world domination and polluting the bloodline and baby-eating and such.

This is a very important election. The creation of this new “Government” stream could foreshadow the future of this stream should if an anti-free speech and pro-censorship candidate win. For those of you who do not know, the Government stream was founded after a handful of anti-free speech and pro-censorship users were unsatisfied with the vague sense of democracy and freedom of speech present in this stream. The Government stream is disturbingly dictatorial in its structure, and the MODs are encouraged to censor content they disagree with. Users the MODs dislike are also completely barred from running for president. The Government stream claims to be “pro-equality”, when the reality is that they are really anything but that.

In this election, a depressingly high proportion of the candidates are anti-free speech and pro-censorship, and I am trying to set up electoral pacts with the candidates that are somewhat pro-free speech and anti-censorship. I am also putting together a list of potential running mates, in case anyone is interested. It is absolutely crucial that you vote for TobyThePug of the imgflip Justice Party for president of the IMGFLIP_PRESIDENTS stream. This a battle over the last roleplay government stream that is remotely democratic. We need to change imgflip for good.

Since you only joined ImgFlip 2 weeks ago, I assume you are not acquainted with the drama involving another memer on this site who may or may not be a pedophile (but the risk of him being one is too damn high, IMO)
