Decency, explained for a Republican.

When you say, "all lives matter" what you are attempting to do is shut down people who feel that they are being marginalized in a most offensive way. You are trying to take away their voice, their motto for that voice.

Those people, are not in any way suggesting that all lives don't matter. They are trying to get YOU to understand they are being marginalized.

We all know you have a birthday and yes, you are a special little snowflake too. Just at this moment, this is NOT your birthday and you need to recognize this phrase belongs to someone else and respect that.

If they want us to believe they are marginalized they'll have to provide proof. The world is a mean place, they have to show the meanness is coming from racism, and not normal human cruelty

1. I explained why people take offense to the phrase, "all lives matter". THAT, should be obvious without explanation and should not need further questioning after explanation so I have to surmise you agree because you've switched from why, to now needing proof they are being marginalized.

2. Just what makes you think anyone needs to prove anything to you to justify how they feel? It's pretty obvious nothing is going to prove it to you anyway.

3. Some blacks hold, "de-blacking" events when selling their homes or getting appraisals.
A documented case found a woman's home was valued $100,000 more with pictures of white people placed around the house, vs when she left her own family pictures placed.

4. More loans are denied to blacks than any other group.
5. Doctors are known to prescribe lower amounts of pain medication to blacks or none at all because they believe there is greater chance they will abuse drugs

7. Because fewer blacks go to the doctor regularly, their health suffers from it at greater rates than other groups.
8. Segregation in many ways is greater today than in the 70's. Black school districts average $1,500 per child less in education expense in these poor communities
9. Because they are receiving less education, fewer are prepared for college yet still, 25% of young blacks do have a 4yr degree.

The proof is out there. It has been out there for years for anyone who actually cared to look for it.

1. I don't agree with the premise that they are being marginalized. Therefore everything that comes after is meaningless.

2. People can feel however they want, but when they start doing things that interfere with me, that's when I start responding.

3. Was it because of the general culture of black people tanking the value, or was it because of racism? A lot of black people are into the rap/hip hop culture which exemplifies drugs, crime, and objectification of women. How do they know they followed the safety codes when repairing the house? Statistically do blacks take better care of their houses than other races? I know for a fact that Asians test higher in math related tests than others, is it racist that they do this or is it a genetic or cultural trait? Is it racist to hire an Asian for a math related position because that individual is good at math? You have to do a deep dive into the why to see if it was racist or if it was based on statistics.

5. That would be because its a statistical truth. Go look it up, which race is more likely to abuse prescription drugs. Believe it or not its actually genetic. Kind of like the Irish are more likely to abuse alcohol. They have a genetic trait where they don't get hangovers (at least not on a regular basis), so they are more likely to become alcoholic.

6. Yep, they did one on blacks, one on Asians, and then a general population study using a pesticide. The question is not if they did this kind of thing in the past. Its whether they are doing it today.

8. Education money is wasted no matter where it goes. They've done studies and found that no amount of money increases test scores. Also its because those communities are poor, not because they are black that they get less money. Tax money comes from the community and pays for the schools in that area.

9. The only thing you need to enter college is the money and some decent SAT scores. With online resources available at public libraries any person can educate themselves no matter how poor their schools are. Most poor people have internet access due to how cheap its become. Computers themselves can be bought extremely cheap now (especially if they are a few years old).

10. I've looked at these studies and found lots of flaws like they exclude black owned businesses, they lump part time in with full time, they don't look at the individuals history for criminal behavior, etc...etc...

A single house, in one neighborhood, should be valued the same whether it has photo's of blacks on the mantle vs photo's of whites!

Loan vs loan, for the same type of business, for the same type of purchase, with the same collateral, with the same income. The only difference is the color of skin which seems to determine denial.

So statistical truth is the measure that should be used for a professional black man who needs pain meds after an operation? His work ethic, his desire to better himself, means nothing. He's a black man and pre-disposed to abusing drugs. I see.

Internet access is cheap enough that everyone has it? 19 million Americans lack internet access.

So studies showing blacks make less money with the same education is always skewed because we all know blacks w/4yr degrees are all ex cons. I see.

1. There were only a handful of police shootings that were questionable in the entire year. every other one was because of a threat to the lives of a civilian or officer. Maybe black people should stop acting like the rappers in their videos and movies and stop trying to grab lethal weapons when police tell them to stay still?

2. It should be valued based on a number of factors including its residents demographic. Houses owned by younger people are valued less because younger people take less good care and cut corners when repairing. Do you consider that discrimination?

3. It isn't the skin color, its the demographic and statistics. Loans are no longer determined by people. They enter the info into a computer and it comes back 'yes' or 'no'. Are you saying the computers are racist?

6. Nope. The statistics say that, and don't include that they are ex-cons. The people hiring them take into account that they are ex-cons and other factors which lets them set their pay lower. If the black people would walk away from job offers like that it wouldn't show up in the statistics.

7. Science, you should try it.

1. There really is a simple way to fix the policing situation. Mandatory cameras for all officers. Someone is killed? An independent agency gets all tapes of the incident within 24hrs, along with the family of the person killed. If tapes cannot be produced, some type of mandatory negative thing must be in place, like losing your badge or the chief of police must resign.

There is no transparency. Nothing about the grand jury decision is released, tapes aren't released, this is wrong. The police are there to help people and uphold the law. They are NOT above the law.

This was the same house, in the same location. The only difference were pictures of people in picture frames and the person greeting the appraiser. A smile isn't worth $100,000.

I completely agree with what you said here. I don't think there are many people that would disagree.

2. I am listening. You aren't. Knowing the ethnicity of a family gets entered into the computer and it then spits out the statistics for that ethnicity. Same as they do for a young family over an older family. Same as they do for a family with and without children. That all informs the estimate. What also informs the estimate is the average value of houses in the neighborhood, so the same house could be worth twice as much if the houses around it are high value. Its not racism its statistics. If black people suddenly started taking care of their houses and lower their crime rate statistically evaluation of their houses would have higher values. Its really that simple.

3. Actually they are paying more in interest because their ethnic groups statistics say they are less likely to pay back the loan. A lender takes into account what percentage of people will default and calculates that into the interest rate so that the ones that pay cover the losses of those that don't. They don't care what the ethnicity is they just enter it into the computer which uses statistics to evaluate the loan and spit out the interest and payments.

1. The police union disagree's. The police union is backing Trump, for fear of having to be held accountable. Very few people on the left want to take away the police. Most just want them to be held to the same standards as the rest of us. Over and over again in these cases, the police have camera's but they were, "turned off" or tape erased, or those involved conveniently did not have them. They move from State to State after losing their jobs because they suck and keep getting rehired because there is no national record of their job performance.

They work FOR us. Protect and Serve? Their actions have proven they are human, make mistakes and some are just out of control.

2. Why would the ethnicity of the homeowner be entered into an appraisal? The people owning the home when sold, will no longer live there. This thought basically supports racism to perpetuate white privilege. Want to get a good deal on a home? Make sure the one you find is owned by black people. Instant discount.

3. Why would an interest rate be based upon ethnic background in America? This goes against everything America is supposed to stand for. You work hard, you can be and do anything in this world. Oh, as long as you're white. Otherwise, you can be God's gift to your industry but if you're black, you will forever pay more in interest on any loan you take out to support your business. You can never prove your self worth. Your skin color is forever less than the white man. That's racist.

1. They are backing Trump because he's not calling for them to be defunded (though I agree that they should be and then be replaced with local elected sheriffs that appoint deputies). I agree if a police officer turns off a camera or the tape goes missing/erased they should be brought up on charges of tampering with evidence. They already are held to the same standards as we are. You simply have to charge them with crimes with an affidavit presented to a judge. Most people don't know that. I agree that they shouldn't be able to move to another area and get rehired, but I think the solution is different.

2. The ethnicity is a statistic. For instance Asians as a group have higher math skills and are therefore more likely to be counted as fiscally responsible and get lower interest rates and lower insurance rates. Its not racism. Its statistics. If the statistics change, the benefits/penalties will change with it.

3. Because of statistics. Some races have better interest rates because as part of that demographic you are more likely to lean one way or another. Let's say that 70% of Asians statistically pay back their loans on time (I"m making this up as an example). That means that only 30% will default. The banks charge interest based on that success/failure rate so they can cover the losses and make a profit. Let's say that white people were the opposite and defaulted 70% of the time and paid back the loans 30%. The interest rate would be raised to cover the defaults and would be almost 100% higher than Asians. Its all just math fed into a computer. No human even looks at it.
