What if these major disease carriers became extinct? Would life on Earth be better, worse or something else entirely?

Every creature living on this earth came to be for a purpose. Nature had that all planned out carefully. And that means that if mosquitoes became extinct the task they have can no longer be fulfilled. Now I did try to look up what task in nature mosquitoes have, and I could not find it. That being said all I know is that it rids me (and many others with me) of the annoying buzz sounds they make and their nasty sting, but if there are any downsides to it for me or for mother Nature, I really don't know.

Seems like that. However only a few amount of mosquito races actually sting and only the females do in order to get some proteins they need to produce eggs. They must have some use somehow, but what.... Perhaps I should ask a biologist ;)

All I know is that earth will have more people, due to the amount of people killed by mosquitoes each year.

And all mammals that mosquitoes feed on.

That doesn't mean they shouldn't be controlled. Humans are part of nature, too.

First of all,fatality rate would drop down a lot because of malaria and other diseases would be less common.But then some plants would go extincted because most mosquitoes don't rely on blood and drink nectar instead.So basically no more malaria for the cost of some specific flowers.

They are an important part of the food chain.
